How do I take care of my blonde hair a home?

Blonde hair is such an amazing luxury many get to expeirence. You sit in a chair for close to 4-5 hours every time getting pampered and watch your stylist take such care when doing it. But once you leave the salon with your take home products, do you question: how will this feel in a couple weeks time? Will I be able to style it at home by myself? Will the colour still be the same over time?

I have some tips to help you out:

1. Keep it hydrated.

This one is quite a simple one but its one thing many don't do enough of. Make sure your blonde is constantly hydrated. One way I like making sure you hair is getting enough is always make sure you have 100% moisture conditioner/ mask or treatment on hand and use it every time you watch your hair. A great one is Fanola's 'Oro Therapy Argon Oil Mask' which can be purchased on our website. it full of Argan Oil and is also enriched with Micro-Active Gold and Sweet Cyprus Oil. It detangles, softens and nourishes hair making it silky, shiny and full of life. Also ensure that if you heat style a lot, always use a heat protection, which brings me onto my next topic.

2. Heat Protection.

Alway use a heat protection no matter what. A lot of people correspond heat damage with hot tools (hairdryers, curlers, straighteners etc) but that's not the only thing that can cause heat damage. There are a lot of natural causes that cause heat damage too, such as the sun. The sun is so damaging for the hair, but luckily heat protection saves you from that! make sure you are always putting in a heat protection before styling AND before you leave the house. Fanola 'Eco Spray' is a perfect quick spray to use before leaving the house and will protect you hair from the sun.

3. Alternate you blonde shampoo.

One thing people always get fooled with is that they thing you have to use purple shampoo all the time, but sometimes that can be more damaging then its worth. blonde shampoo's main focus is to maintain the colour. yes, some contain hydrating properties, but not enough to be used all the time. the purple pigments in the blonde shampoos can be drying but are okay to be used often as helps maintain the colour. I always recommend pairing you purple shampoo which a repairing shampoo such as Fanola's 'Nutricare Range". this shampoo is great for repairing but also contains moisture which helps to even out.
